When one does a system restore and a dll or something was deleted, that of windows, does the resotore point also restore the dll?

system restore backs up the following registry, file in dllcache folder, local user profile, IIS, COM+ and WMI database so most likely the dll will be restored but if it was just a dll lying around in a random folder then i would say no. but if you are looking for something more specific and you could use the previous version. go to system properties and in System Protection if you see protection On the drive that you want to restore the dll from and if a system restore was done after this was turned on for the drive then you can just right click a folder on the drive and click on Previous version tab and restore a file from desired time.MCSE | MCITP - Server 2008 | MCITP - Exchange 2007 | MCTS - Exchange 2010
