I had to do a hard reset on our wireless router a while back, and since doing so, I have a had a problem with connection dropping out several times a day, with no obvious cause. Today when checking the event log, I saw this warning event: "Name resolution for the name MARY-PC.lv.cox.net timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded." "MARY-PC" is another computer connected through the router, and Cox is our service provider. What is causing these name resolution issues? I have added DCHP reservations in the router settings, one for each connected device, but it did not solve the problem. I am running Windows 7 64-bit, connected wirelessly (802.11n) to a D-Link DIR-625 router, which is connected directly to our Cox modem. There is one computer (running XP) connected via ethernet cable to the router as well, along with several devices (Wii, Android phone, two Windows 7 laptops, occasional visitors' devices) connected wirelessly to the D-Link router.

Try fix IP and DNS (8.8.8.8). Allow for DNS request in router (port 53 UDP, sometimes 53 TCP) Rgds Milos
