System constantly pings how do I find out who and how do I stop it.
I am having an issue with my computer constantly slowing down. SpyBot TeaTimer notified me of New Processes being scanned and upon my checking of what was going on (I was not running anything new) I found in Task Manager that ping was constantly showing up and then dissappearing. This happens about every 2 - 3 seconds and is driving me crazy. At first it started when the computer lost connection to the time servers and could not find one to sync with so I turned of that feature. The problem dissapeared for about 2 days and is now back. I have uninstalled all kinds of old programs that I thought could be the culprit but no luck, I have run McAfee, Malwarebytes, and Spybot and all show as clean. I thought about running Network Monitor but for some reason can't find it on my system. The hard drive crashed 2 years ago and I rebuilt with a fresh install so that must have been something that did not get reinstalled. Can some one help me figure out what step I should take now? I want to find out what is being pinged and where the ping is loading from any help would be appreciated.1 person needs an answerI do too
