System Volume Information
Hi How i can remove System Volume Information folder permanently on my c: ?
I know that the folder is a system back up. I have turned system back up off and i don't need it.
I have trying to take ownership and delete it from boot cmd and safe mode, normal way and unlocker, but nothing helps
I have try meny cmd commands to delete it but no help. I also try to find some keys in registry wich are connection to System Volume Information and delete it's but still the folder are new created in c:
Don't ask why i'm trying to do this :D
I'm Using Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit

Here you go:
Boot the machine with an Ubuntu boot CD.Delete the folder.Do not be surprised if Windows refuses to run.

If you have taken ownership and deleted the contents and turned off the system backup, I think that is all you can do other than what Obwerald suggested. But if you know it is not going to be populated, then why the need to actually delete it? It
is not taking up any actual disk space. Heck, if you turn off view Hidden Files it won't even be visible. Some things in the file system are just hard coded. I doubt there is a way to remove it from within the Windows OS.

If you have taken ownership and deleted the contents and turned off the system backup, I think that is all you can do other than what Obwerald suggested. But if you know it is not going to be populated, then why the need to actually delete
it? It is not taking up any actual disk space. Heck, if you turn off view Hidden Files it won't even be visible. Some things in the file system are just hard coded. I doubt there is a way to remove it from within the Windows OS.
yes I kno that folder is takes only couple of kt But I just not like i see that folder there becose i don't need it :D, and I don't wanna hide eny files becose i just wanna see ewerything :D

No problem. If you create a file of the same name, then hide it then Windows can't create a folder.

So you are trying to remove a required system level folder that you've disabled? All because you don't like seeing it? I think you should probably redirect your energies elsewhere. As Oberwald said, the OS may not function correctly if you
do this. You would probably be more irritated at that I think. :D
