I am coming from XP to Windows 7. In XP, the system tray icons would hide if they were inactive, however in Windows 7, it seems that my choices are limited to: - Always Show - Always Hide - Show notifications A lot of my apps don't generate notifications, but I want them to show in the system tray if they are active. Is there a way to get this functionality back, or to decrese the size of the system tray?
