System Restore not working
My computer has been completely messed up by the XP Security Tool virus/ACommander/AKM Anti-Virus 2010 (I have posted and asked for help but nothing I do has solved it). I have used rkill.exe, scanned my comp using Microsoft Security Essentials, Malwarebyte, Prevx 3.0, now HouseCall and none of them are catching the virus. I feel like my only chance is to use system restore but whenever I try to open it, it says it has been changed by Group Policy and I need to contact the domain Admin. I am the only user on my comp so shouldnt I be the only Admin user? Also when I try to run the system restore command prompt in safe mode it will not work. Please help...or suggest any other ways I can restore my comp to the state it was in before this virus. Thanks. p.s. I'm using Windows XP on a custom built comp with an acer monitor if that helps at all.1 person needs an answerI do too

Back up your data and do a clean install of Windows. System Restore will not help. http://michaelstevenstech.com/cleanxpinstall.html - Clean Install How-To http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Reinstalling_Windows - What you will need on-hand MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
