Used Norton's live help and frankly added programs to "supposedly" fix problem but it did not work. Then Norton's analyst typed appwiz..... in the run box. Nonetheless problem not fixed so to make sure I void all that was done I wanted to go back to a previous point. But when I tried to restore to 2 different points I received the error message "System Restore did not complete successfully. Computer's system files & settings not changed. Unspecified error occured during system restore. 0xc0000056 Just got the computer a week ago so I am a bit afraid of error messages, I want to get them sorted out early. Thanks and need your help. Start your PC, pressing F8 to get to the Windows boot menu, and select Safe Mode with Command Prompt. Once it's up, type in rstrui.exe and press enter. It may take a few seconds, and then the System Restore interface will start. Pick the date you want to restore and go from there. SC Tom -There's no such thing as TMI when asking for tech support.
