I am running XP Home Edition & I have tried System Restore, but it fails. I did it in Safe Mode, still fails. I disabled Norton & still no good. I did the test, creating a TEST Restore Point & putting Test Folder on Desktop & that worked. But it won't restore to a previous date, whether I check System Checkpoint, Software Distribution Service 3.0 or Microsoft Update Point. I tried dates going back a month & still fails. Any ideas?1 person needs an answerI do too

Right click on My Computer > Manage > Event Viewer. Look for any error messages related to system restore. Double click on all error messages to view the error.
