System Restore Bug/Glitch
My antivirus program was giving me trouble, so I did a System Restore to fix the problem. Problem was fixed. After the reboot, it showed the usual prompt saying the restore was successful, but now after every other subsequent boot, it keeps showing that prompt every time I restart the computer. The message shows up regardless if a restore has or hasn't been done during the previous session, except the prompt just updates its message with the date/time of the most recent restoration. OS works fine, but the repetitive prompts really annoy me. Is there a way to fix this? Have tried a registry cleaner, (multiple) reboots, restoring to earlier/previous dates, disabling/enabling System Restore, but the "problem" persists. I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate, 64-bit.

Hi, First, please check the event log to check if there are any useful information: 1. Click Start, click Run, type eventvwr.msc /s in the Open box, and then press Enter. 2. Click the Windows Logs\System category. To get more information, please kindly refer to the following link: What information appears in event logs (Event Viewer)? Currently, we could try performing a Clean Boot to check what the result is. Hope it helps.
