System Restore - bug
"System restore" doesn't really restore the machine to the previous state. Files added by installed software weren't removed as expected.
Example: I manually created a Restore point, installed ACT 2009 to test and upon restore an hour later, lots of files ACT added are still on the machine.
When you create a feature, make sure it does what people expect it to-do!

Hi Christopher
System restore is not meant to be an uninstaller for programs. Your first step should be to uninstall the program.
System Restore is part of the System Protection component and is meant to restore any
system settings or files.

If you want to make sure that everything an installer may change is removed, a System Image backup may be a better choice.
