Here are some suggestions: If you havea Norton 2009 product installed, read here: http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&ssfromlink=true&sprt_cid=d91f64dc-6e7c-4bfc-ab32-1699aa607f1d&seg=hho&ct=us&lg=en&docurl=20080818173549EN&ln=en_US?Open&src=hpfaq_con_nam&seg=hho Or it may be related to an AV tool: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r23274140-Windows-7System-RestoreUnspecified-error-occurred-during Hope this helps.

No luck but it did make sense.Even tried turning off Virus and Firewall.A clean install instead of using the upgrade would probably be a better try. Thanks for the help.

Hi, Error 80070005 indicates a permission issue. If it happens in the future, you can try enabling the built-in admin account:Enable built-in admin account==============1. Click Start, click "All Programs", please find and open "Accessories" folder.2. Please right-click on "Command Prompt" item and select "Run as administrator".3. Please type the following command line in to the coming window. net user administrator /active:yes Note: There is a space between "Administrator" and "/active:yes". 4. Log off and log on the Administrator account.Vivian Xing - MSFT
