System Properties /Advanced Tab /Settings button displays an inaccurate user profile size
I've come across an uncommon problem on a Windows XP Pro machine. When I go to the System Properties /Advanced Tab /Settings button to view a local user profile size, the window listed the size as 7.79 GB (quite large). When I go into Windows Explorer, and pull up the "Properties" page for the profile's folder under C:\Documents and Settings\"ProfileName" (right click, go to properties), the "size" and "size on disk" totals list 50 GB. I was under the impression that both of these numbers should be the same (or very close), as the total profile should be made up of all the items in the profile folder. I've noticed that when the "copy to" button is used from the system properties /advanced tab / settings window, to copy the profile, that its the entire 50 GB that gets copied to the new profile path, not the listed 7.79 GB. Why the difference in the two numbers? Which sub-folders from the profile folder aren't being reported to the Properties/Advanced/Settings window?Just Curious.1 person needs an answerI do too
