System Center 2012 R2 Endpoint Protection hanging repeatedly

Hello everyone,

We experienced the issue in this thread a couple of weeks ago and now we seem to experience it again on another server. Our SCEP client on a server seems to crash with this error message in the system Event Log from source Service Control Manager first dated 2015-08-20 at 23:43:11

"A timeout (30000 milliseconds) was reached while waiting for a transaction response from the MsMpSvc service."

The latest update in the event log from Microsoft Antimalware reads at 2015-08-20 23:31:42:

Endpoint Protection client is up and running in a healthy state.
 Platform version: 4.8.0204.0
 Engine version: 1.1.11903.0
 Signature version: 1.203.2809.0

Last time around the issue was caused as described in the thread by https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3076895 and we solved the issue by installing the recommended hotfix from Microsoft called https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3090303, which since have been replaced by https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3092627.

This is another server which has the both faulty KB3076895 and the fix KB3092627 installed (doesn't have the superseded KB3090303 installed). Has anyone experienced this issue? We're at our wits end and are in need of help.
