System Admin. Account
Using XP professional. Received an older laptop and went about trying to change the previous system administrator to myself. Added myself as a new account as a systems admin., while deleting the previous system admin. account. All went fine until I restarted the laptop and the only user account I now have is the previous system admin. who is now labeled as a "limited account". Despite this being only a "limited account" I cannot add any user profiles, programs, etc. as if the Limited User is once again the System Admin. By the way, my new account no longer appears either as a user account since I restarted the laptop after trying the make the above changes. So my question is how can I delete the Limited Account and establish myself as the system admin. without having an account and not being able to establish a new one?
