Do you mean when you reboot, Windows explorer opens into the windows\system32 folder?Microsoft knows why and tells you here:http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=170086Here is what Microsoft does not tell you:Before making registry changes, backup your registry with this popular free and easy to use tool:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/erunt.htmlThe reason your system got this way in the first place is usually due to some malicious software infections. It could be a current malicious software infection or residue from one that was partially removed by your current tools. You must do the rest yourself.Describe your current antivirus and anti malware situation: McAfee, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc.Now follow up after the repiars with some comprehensive malware scans:Perform some scans for malicious software first, then fix any remaining issues:Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:Malwarebytes (MBAM): http://malwarebytes.org/SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/They can be uninstalled later if desired.Be sure to reboot your system and test, the please report back your results.I need YOUR votes and points for helpful replies and Propose as Answers.
