Sys Config Services - Windows 7
Does anyone have a good way of checking out which services in sys config are legit? There's 79 in all. I would appreciate any help with this. Thanks, Sammie T

try to compare them with the ones in services.msc to see if they coincide. Or install windows 7 from scratch in a virtual machine and then compare the two. The Computer Manual

well, first one is to check on their manufacturer information but if you're still doubtful, you'll just have to research each of them. credible sources. ceasar CES Free Tech Support

Hi Sammie T, Thanks for the post! Do you encounter any issue? In system configuration, there are many services. Firstly, you can check the manufacturer, is there any unknown manufacturer there? Or comparing with another computer. Secondly, you can use Clean Boot to check which services has bad influence on your computer. Since there is no tool can tell you which service is legit, in order to keep your computer safe, I recommend you use Microsoft Security Essentials to protect the computer. In addition, you can refer to http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Using-System-Configuration for more details about system configuration. Hope it helps.
