Sync Two Computers - network directory disappears when offline.
I have a desktop running Windows 7 Home and a notebook running Windows 7 Professional. I'm trying to have a sync folder between the two machines where I can access the latest version of files on either the desktop or the notebook whether they were updated on the desktop or by the notebook. So I shared a folder on my desktop (Windows 7 Home): C:\Programming\Source Code to Shared. Then on the notebook while I'm connected to my home LAN with both machines on it, the directory appears under Network\<desktop computer name>\Source Code On the notebook, I check under properties, Offline Files tab, the option that says "Always available offline" -- and this appears to work in terms of the sync update between the two machines. However, the moment I go offline and disconnect from the LAN, the directory that appears under Network\<desktop computer name>\Source Code on my notebook disappears, and I'm unable to get at the files that have been stored offline. I can see the files if I go to the sync center and do manage offline files, but I can't seem to navigate to that Offline Files directory that's shown in windows explorer. Any ideas on how I can access these files in the sync directory while I'm offline on my notebook, so that any updates I do to those files get posted back to the desktop when I reconnect to my home LAN? Thanks in advance for any assistance.
