Sync Center
OS: Windows 7 ProfessionalI have 2 folders from one of my office servers Sync'd (using Sync center). The two folders are 13 MB and 9 GB in size. The feature works fine except when I'm not connected to the office network, but connected to a network (e.g., internet sevice in a hotel). In this situation, any activity that involves browsing my laptop drives takes a long time as Windows Explorer apparantly looks for the synched folders on the network. Is there not some way that I can manually tell the OS that my synched files are offline even though I'm connected to a network. The "Work Offline" option on the Explorer toolbar is not present unless you are connected to the network that makes the synched files Online.

Hi, If the user is offline, the file updates are cached on the client computer's disk and synchronized with the server the next time the user is online. In Windows 7, synchronization can happen automatically and in the background, without requiring the user to choose between online and offline modes. Regarding the current situation, I suggest you configure Background Sync policy and use the "Usually Offline" feature. For more information, please refer to the following article: What's New in Offline Files Meanwhile, if the network performance is slowly, please perform a Clean Boot to check the result. Thanks, Novak
