Hi Tyler, First, please make sure that you have multiple users on the system. If the behavior persists when the system has more than one users, how does it work after you press Ctrl+Alt+Del and choose Switch User? Arthur Xie - MSFT

Have you updated your graphics drivers to the latest available, certified version? - John

Yes, I'm running the latest video drivers (the beta driver that NVidia released specifically for Windows 7).

Yes, there are multiple users (5) on the system. I've been running Vista Ultimate with multiple users for the past year, so when I upgraded my system to Windows 7 I assumed that the Switch User function would carry over to the new OS.I did as you suggested and checked CTRL+ALT+DELETE to see if a Switch User option appeared - nope. I'm sure that I could probably resolve the issue by deleting the users and recreate them, but my wife and kids won't be happy about losing their customizations.

TylerCan you log on with the other user accounts? When you open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Users, do you see all of the folders for the other user accounts there?Go to Control Panel and open User Accounts. Select manage another account.Do you see the other 4 accounts there?Let us know.

Hi Tyler, You may also create a new account. This account would not have issues. Check if you could switch users. Additionally, I suggest that you launch gpedit.msc->Computer Configuration->Administrative Templates->System->Logon. Check if the policy "Hide entry points for Fast User Switching" is enabled.Arthur Xie - MSFT

Arthur,I did as you suggested and checked the policy setting for "Hide entry points for Fast User Switching". It was not configured (or enabled). I appreciate the suggestion. I hadn't thought to check the policy settings.

Ronnie,Yes, I can log into other user accounts.Yes, I see all of the folders for the other user accounts.Yes, I see the other 4 accounts there. That's the kicker, everything appears to be normal.I just thought of another angle; I had Parental Control set on 3 of the 4 other accounts. Do you think that this may have caused the problem that I'm experiencing?

Hi Tyler, Do you turn off UAC? If so, fast user switch will be disabled. In this case we just need to enable UAC. If UAC is enabled but the issue persists, I suggest that you repair the system to try to resolve this issue. Arthur Xie - MSFT
