Suspected DNS Resolver Cache Poisoning (Hope to solve ASAP)
Hi, My DNS Cache is being poisoned and everytime I flush the resolver cache the list comes back. I recently downloaded a rogue program called Error Fix as it had a "McAfree SECURED" sign in McAfee's SiteAdvisor so I thought it was safe. I removed Error Fix using Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware after that. (malwarebytes.org) Malware Remover Tool Also, my cousin had recently came to my house and surf porn sites while I was out. (Before Error Fix was installed) I have also request for help in Malwarebytes forum but since the DNS Resolver Cache was installed in Windows, I hope that you can also look into it. I hope that you can really look into it and not just give me a simple answer like Reinstall your operating system. Anyway, I don't have the installation disk. I have restore points created before the installation of the rogue program Error Fix but all the restore points were gone for no reason. I went to check it recently. If there is anything you need, please let me know. I am using Windows Vista Home Basic Service Pack 2. =========================================================================================== I am unable to display all the characters due to a limit so please refer to the following forum post by me in Malwarebytes Forum - http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=83675 =========================================================================================== I hope to fix the DNS Cache Poisoning ASAP. Thanks. If there is anything you need, please let me know. ===========================================================================================
