Surface Pro 3 and Bitlocker

Good Day

I am trying to implement bitlocker on the surface pro and I have been reading up on forums and articles relating to this but the problem I have is that when the surface pro is undocked then the keyboard or touch will not work but if the surface pro is docked then the keyboard will work perfectly.

I have set the bitlocker settings in the gpedit.msc to "TPM required with startup key" and I have not allowed the startup PIN.

Is there something I am missing????

The keyboard icon also does not appear as described in the second article.

The group policy youre looking for is Enable use of Bitlocker authentication requiring preboot keyboard input on slates. This is mentioned in the second link you referenced: Bitlocker PIN on Surface Pro 3 and Other Tablets from the Ask PFE Platforms blog.
