Sudden Network Problem
I have been running my PC on vista for about a month. Everything was working great until I installed my VPN client for work. When I restarted the machine all my networks shutdown and so did my access to the internet. I ended up getting the internet to work but am still having problems with my network. The thing that bothers me the most is that my other computers can still see and transfer to my vista computer, but my vista machine cant see or do anything back. I have uninstalled my VPN software to see if that was the problem, and still nothing. Any help would be great. Hi, Thank you for the post. In this case, I suggest restoring the system to a previous state before you installed the VPN client as the program may have modified something, which leads to interference with the network connection. If the issue persists after performing system restore is, please confirm the following points for further research: ======================= 1. Can this machine ping other computers? 2. What is the exact wording of the error message when accessing the share folder on other computers from this Windows Vista machine by using the UNC path? Thanks.
