I just installed the 64 bit version of Win 7. The submit feedback icon is not prtesent on the desktop while it is on the 32 bit version. I followed the q/a on the other question about feedback and installed the feedback program. How do Isubmit feedback for the 64 bit version. I would like to install the submit feedback program that is present on the 32 bgit version.

Torbar - That would depend on if you installed the BETA or RC version. The beta has it, the RC doesn't. If you previously had the 32 bit beta version, and now have the 64 bit RC, that would explain why it's missing. The RC version of Windows 7 doesn't have the Submit Feedback feature because it's supposed to be exactly like what you'd see in the RTM version which will ship later on. Now then, if you installed the Windows 7 Feedback Panel software package, that may or may not allow you to submit feedback. That particular program is reserved for those who were invited to participate on that panel. You CAN, however, always post your feedback to the HaveComments about Windows 7 RC (Part 2)thread.

HiThanks for the reply. 64 bit defintely is the RC and it indicates build 7100. I could have sworn that I installed the 32 bit RC as I thought that the build indicator was 7000. I remember reading an article that referred to build 7100 and that was when I thoughtthat version 7000 was what I had installed. I was a member of the feedback panel at one point in time but do not know if I still am a member.The files on the32 bit DVD are all date 12/13/2008 (scanned multiple folders but not all)The files on the 64 bit DVD are all dated 4/22/2009 (short scan).

torbar - If you were invited, you should have gotten an email. That would have explained how to set the program up and what to do. If you're a member of the panel - you can install it, and use the email address you got the emailed invitation.Build 7000's file dates would indeed been somewhere around mid December 2008. Build 7100 would have been somewhere in late April 2009. So that would indeed appear to check out.

torbar - No.. The beta was build 7000 - That's both the 32 bit and 64 bit variations. Build 7100 is the Release Candidate - both 32 and 64 bits... When a build is released, it's released both as 32 and 64 bits simultaneously with the same number. Development is being done in parallel.

Sort of weird as I could not access the Win 7 Builds until the RC was posted. I downloaded the 32 bit first and installed it. That was build 7000 and supposedly the RC for 32 bit. After my son but a new computer (HP) and we installed the 64 bit Vista release, I decided to download the 64 bit RC for Win 7 and install it on my ASUS P5K-E motherboard. After that install I had build 7100 for the 64 bit RC. I guess that there is another inconsistency in the build releases.

torbar - Hmm.. No idea how you wound up with the 32 bit Beta.. The 32 bit Win 7 I've got here is clearly build 7100... The tag in the bottom right corner of the desktop says Build 7100 as it does pretty much everywhere else I've looked. I grabbed my copy on May 4th at about 11:15 PM. PDT. I'd seriously recommend going out and grabbing the 32 bit RC while you can - that is if you still feel like playing around with it.

Hi I just grabbed the 32 bit rc and burned a DVD. The DVD files show a 4/22/2009 date for the few that I scanned.Thanks for all the responses.
