Stuck on Windows Boot up Screen
Yesterday when I turned my laptop on, the computer was stuck on the black Microsoft boot up screen. The curser goes back and forth but the computer does not advance past that screen. If I turn the computer off manually and turn it back on, I am able to select "Start with last known good configuration" and the computer starts normally. I also noticed that if I restart, the computer is able to restart normally. But the problem persists if I shut down, and try to turn the computer on again. Coincidentally (or not?) I had problems yesterday running my McAfee scans. A McAfee rep did some maintenance on my computer (cleared temp internet files, ran diskcheck) and now my McAfee is working normally. The bootup problem is still happening though. Thank you for any help!!1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi! I ended up searching for malware for weeks, running scans and reinstalling McAfee over and over. Eventually McAfee admitted to me that their latest version is NO LONGER COMPATIBLE WITH THE DELL MINI. It causes them to freeze up while booting up and McAfee constantly disables. It took them weeks to admit this to me. They "escalated" me to Tier 2 support at least 5 times, yet no one ever followed up to try and help me. I got rid of McAfee and got a new virus protection, and my computer is as good as new! McAfee stinks..
