Hi,· What happen when you press F8 do you get the boot menu screen? Method 1:If you can see the boot menu screen, I would suggest you to select Last Know Good Configuration and check whether the issue still persists.Note:Instead of the Wireless keyboard and mouse, I would suggest you to plug in the wired keyboard and mouse and perform the steps mentioned below. To access the boot options, follow the steps mentioned below.a. Restart the system and keep tapping F8 till you reach the boot menu.b. Select Last known good configuration from the list and press Enter.c. Check whether the issue is resolved. Method 2:If that does not help then, I would suggest you do a system restore from safe mode and check. Toa. Restart the system and keep tapping F8 till you reach the boot menu.b. Select Safe mode from the list and press Enter.c. Do a system restore and check whether the issue is resolved.Refer the article mentioned below to do a system restore. How to restore Windows XP to a previous statehttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/306084 Thank you and Regards. Sounds like a hardware problem.Try using a wired mouse and keyboard. Does the problem persist?
