Strange IE8 behavior in Windows 7
My company is working on creating a deployable version of Windows 7 from the RTM version. We also use Lawson for many different functions within the company (mainly payroll). One role is purchasing. Within our purchasing Requisition Self Service > Shopping module there is a series of 3 tabs labeled Step 1, Step 2 and Step 3. Going between Step 1 tab and Step 3 tab works without a problem. When going to Step 2 we find a problem occurs. The Step 2 tab has a single radio button and a text box underneath it that is dithered out until the radio button is selected. When trying to access the text box before selecting the radio button it pops up in its own separate window that states, "Please select comment type" with an OK button under it. The very first time this pop up appears and is removed the Step 1 and Step 3 buttons are unable to be manipulated or switched to. There is a button along the top named Requistion Setup that reloads the page and after selecting this menu button the tabs then work without a problem even if the pop up appears again.I also noticed that if I block pop ups from the server where the pop ups are being generated the tabs work fine because the pop up never truly appears. It just shows a drop down notification at the top of the page informing me that a pop up has been blocked.Blocking the Lawson server that is generating the website is not an option for our environment unfortunately. Working from a work around is also not an option despite its effectiveness. I'm uncertain if this is a Lawson problem or an IE8 problem.I am using IE8 version 8.0.7600.16385. Windows 7 Enterprise. We are currently running Lawson as an internal website on a local domain.Any ideas?

Hi,To identify if the issue is relatedt to IE8 or Lawson, I suggest you trying another browser to see if the issue occurs. Moreover, if you own a computer running previous Windows, you can install Internet Explorer 8 on that computer to test if the behavior appears. Meanwhile, try to use Internet compatibiity mode to surf this site. If the issue persists, it seems to be more of the website itself since the issue doesn't occur with Step 1 and Step 3 tabs. If it is the case, I recommend you to post your question in Internet Explorer Development Forum so as to get a better resource.Best RegardsDale
