Storage Spaces concerns

Hi,

What happens if I format my Windows 8.1 when I'm currently using Storage Spaces for my Data storage?

I have currently 3 hard drives, 1 for my OS, and 2 for storage spaces. If I format my OS and re-install Windows 8.1, what happens to Storage Spaces?

Bonus: What'll happen when Windows 10 comes out if I want to install it?

Thanks!

Your storage space will be safe because you have separate drives for OS and storage. so formatting only OS drive will not affect your Storage space.  when you would like to upgrade this windows 8.1 to windows 10, you can normally run upgrade disk or format windows 8.1 and install windows 10.
