Storage Spaces - Can't add drives - error 0xC0380030

I am attempting to add a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th drive to my existing storage space.

I have several drives in a storage space, include one existing WDC WD20EZRX-00DC0B0 - 2TB SATA drive; however, when I attempt to add additional drives of the same model I am receiving an error saying:

The specified pack is invalid.  There are no packs with the specified pack id. (0xC0380030)

Ideas anyone?

Thanks.

Please add drives one by one for a test. If the issue only occurs on the specific drive, it could be a hard drive compatible issue.

All the drives were the exact same type, but I did try adding one at a time.

I finally resolved this issue by copying all data off the storage space, destroying the existing storage space, then recreating with all the drives at one time - the recreating worked just fine.

I am having the same problem, however this solution is not viable as I do not have large enough storage capacity to move everything off.

What is the core cause of this problem?

Thanks

Hi,

old post but I have a similar problem. I installed a JMicron PCIe Sata Card and added 3 drives (4TB each) I can't add them as storages like shown above when connected via the PCIe Sata Card.

If I plug in one drive on the Sata port directly on the mainboard everything works well.

Any ideas how to use the extrernal Sata card?
Drivers are installed, Windows recognizes the drives

Thx,
Sebastian

Best suggestion I have is to unplug the drives, add them one by one...and reboot a bunch of times in between each drive addition.
