Storage Space - Inaccessible, reconnect drives

Hi

My 2 HDD Mirror Storage Space is no longer accessible. I cannot see it in explorer, and under Storage Space Manager it says Inaccessible, Reconnect drives. Both disks under Physical Disks are displaying as OK, so I'm really scratching my head.

The results from

Get-PhysicalDisk | fl *

Get-StoragePool | fl *

Get-VirtualDisk | fl *

Any help here would be appreciated, really scratching my head. Even when I connect each of the single disks on their own they don't show up

Are as follows:

You need to go into disk manager and assign a drive letter to see the drives in explorer

They do not show up in Disk Manager. They're part of a Storage Space, and the Virtual Disk for said storage space is not attached for some reason. Please see the logs per above from the get-virtualdisk command, and see a brief version below

The disk should be seen in disk manager. I had to attach my disk through disk manager then assign a drive letter before I could see the disk in explorer. As you see disk f is the storage space disk

Are you using intel rapid storage driver at all

Edit: You created a storage space but did you also create a pool for your mirror

Yes I had a pool created, this has been working for months now without problem. The usb hdd's show up in device manager but not in Disk Manager. There is simply no sign of them in Disk Manager, and I assume it's because the virtual disk is detached. However even when I try and manually reconnect it via PowerShell it fails

@thisco123 Did you solve this storage space problem?

Has anyone else made any progress or have any debugging ideas?

Has anyone figured anything out? I just had this happen to me on Windows 8.1 a week ago. The physical drives are hooked up and can be used for other storage spaces, however the space with my files on it just claims I need to reconnect the drives.

@deejay253 I ended up restoring all of my data via the free version of ReclaiMe StorageSpaces.  It was a pain because it was unable to fix the drive, and thus required an extra drive for me to back everything up on.
