When I re-boot I always get a blue screen that wants to run a sort of 5 step Check Disk that takes a number of hours to complete. I can hit any key and by-pass this but it is an inconvenience to deal with. How can I eliminate this screen so the computer will take me directly to my sign in (password) screen?1 person needs an answerI do too

Hello Macon21 Try thisStart/Run and type incmdOKThe command prompt window will openAt the command prompt typechkdsk /r (there is a space before / )EnterReboot and chkdsk will run and try to fix any errors. This might take a while. If that does not help, follow the same instructions, but this time at the prompt type CHKNTFS /D (there is a space before /) EnterReboot. It will run again, but hopefully for the last time!.
