Standby System Failed
Two nights ago, when I went to snooze my computer (XP Sp3 x86 AVG free AntiVirus), I received the following error message: The devise driver for the 'HID-Compliant mouse' device is preventing the machine from entering standby. Please close all applications and try again. If the problem persist, you may need to update the driver. Yesterday, I downloaded “IP_70_OEM.zip” from microsoft, unpacked and installed what I thought was the required update for Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse 1.0A.Last night, I received a modified error message: The devise driver for the 'Microsoft USB Basic Optical Mouse IntellPoint)' device is preventing the machine from entering standby. Please close all applications and try again. If the problem persist, you may need to update the driver. What can I do to get standby to function properly on my computer?1 person needs an answerI do too
