Standard User Account - Install Fonts
OK... I've scoured TechNet for a solution but even though the same question has been "answered" many times, the answer is not a solution. e.g.: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winserverGP/thread/fc178004-d0b0-40c3-b41a-da8129c8d3ef I have tried the following steps: > Set in Group Policy: > Modify permissions to Fonts folder, FNTCACHE.DAT, registry ----> standard user still gets UAC prompt A solution is to disable UAC permanently but for those who are in schools, we know this cannot be done for security reasons. Should I give up this seemingly endless search? --> http://social.technet.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/itprovistasecurity/thread/f8b7df21-b2be-4102-b6cd-ede8a3596109/ Disregarding the above URL's....... By a slight chance who has found a solid solution workable either via Group Policy, script or another method to allow standard users to install Fonts without having local admin access? Thanks

Hi, The suggestion from the link only gives font to cache. If you would like to install the fonts permanently, you must login on the machine with administrator privilege or elevate the privilege. Best Regards, NikiPlease remember to click "Mark as Answer" on the post that helps you, and to click "Unmark as Answer" if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.
