Has anyone noticed the same behaviour on their Vista?

The name of the administrator's folder is: \Users\dshek\ One thing I have done that may have caused this behaviour: The Vista machine was joined to a Windows Server 2003 domain, and then un-joined. I moved it back to the workgroup because the windows automatic update didn't work without applying some other update to WSUS. Do you think that is the cause? Again, I am just guessing here, as I didn't know if this behaviour happen before the action above. Thanks.

If you are a local Admin on the computer that you would have access to all folders even after removing from domain.

Hi. The user id I logged on as, is not a local admin. So looks like that is a bug.

No it wasn't. I added the normal user after unjoining from the domain. So there are: 1) local administrator. 2) local normal user. 3) a normal domain user - left over from the domain.

Hi, I am using windows vist home premium. I dont have the above problem. It asked me the admin ID when I tried to access admin ID's folders, but only for the first time. Now if i access any folder it will simply open the folder. Can I revert this back and make it ask my admin pwd again for accessing these folders?
