After I installed Windows 7 RC I started to play around a little bit to get my feet wet so to speak. I found what windows 7 called a spyware parasite. How can I get rid of it? Because before I downloaded it I did a scan and found nothing. So can someone please explain? I have tried defender, my antivirus program, ad-aware and nothing seems to work.

try with eset nod 32,it seem to get along very well with seven and with a personal test eset 4.0 even opens archives and tracks down trojans and spyware,even resulted after some app installation

It does not say where the parasite is located. I have tried both Defender and System Mechanic. Defender did not detect it at all and System Mechanic detected it but could not get rid of it. I have even tried programs like Adaware but even that did not work either.

Wrongway53,any updates on this Parasite now?Are you behind a Firewall on your Router or Modem and did that report any strange behaviour?What exactly is System Mechanic checking after all? Isn't there a possibility that this so called Parasite is just some Windows 7 Policiy or built in Service, that System Mechanic doesn't recognize as such since it is too new for that program? For instance the RC Expiration timer which can be seen as spyware?
