Outlook Express has never had a spell check of its own and has relied on the spell check in Word. When Office 2007 came out, the spell check for OE was only available in French. With Office 2010, you apparently don't even have that. The remedy is the same. Get a third party spell check.Vampirefo Spell Check.Download it from Major Geeks:http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=2952Download it from SnapFile:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/spelloe.htmlOr you may like TinySpell. (Checks the spelling as you type).Download it here:http://www.tinyspell.m6.net/ FWIW, I have never used an MS Office program and have always used the Vampirefo spell check. It works just fine.Bruce Hagen ~ MS-MVP [Mail]

Butthat isn't true with Office 2010. So when you replaced your olderOffice version, you lost the capability. But with Office Professional, you now have Outlook *and its spellchecker) available to you, instead of just Outlook Express. Why notswitch to using Outlook? In my view, it's much better than OutlookExpress. If you don't want to do that, you'll need a third-party spell checker.Ken Blake
