I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate N 64 bit in a home network. My DHCP server is a Linksys router and I use the "oldfashion" cat. 6 network cables. After changing from dynamic to static IP (Binding MAC to IP) my errorlog on two Win7 stations shows the error below. The other station equiped with Win XP, Win XP 64 and Vista 64 doesn't show this error or even something that comes close to this. - <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> - <System> <Provider Name="Service Control Manager" Guid="{555908d1-a6d7-4695-8e1e-26931d2012f4}" EventSourceName="Service Control Manager" /> <EventID Qualifiers="49152">7024</EventID> <Version>0</Version> <Level>2</Level> <Task>0</Task> <Opcode>0</Opcode> <Keywords>0x8080000000000000</Keywords> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2010-07-11T07:33:33.986030900Z" /> <EventRecordID>18768</EventRecordID> <Correlation /> <Execution ProcessID="560" ThreadID="684" /> <Channel>System</Channel> <Computer>WS5-Braam3</Computer> <Security /> </System> - <EventData> <Data Name="param1">HomeGroup Listener</Data> <Data Name="param2">%%-2147023143</Data> </EventData> </Event> The common tile: "De HomeGroup Listener-service is gestopt met de specifieke servicefout %%-2147023143." In English "The homeGroup Listener is aborted becaus of serviceerror %%-2147023143". Can sombody tell me wat went wrong and how I can resolve this error?

What is the result after running HomeGroup Troubleshooting tool? You can run it by going to Start, type homegroup in the Start Search box, and then click Find and fix problems with homegroup. Follow the wizard and see if the culprit can be found. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.

I have run the tool homegroup (Solve and avoid computerproblems) wizard but this wizard displays the message "The problem can not be solved". The outcome is the same when I activate or deactivate the advanced options check box and or skip the "solve network problems". Now an error is added to my systemlog. - <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> - <System> <Provider Name="Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-EventTracing" Guid="{B675EC37-BDB6-4648-BC92-F3FDC74D3CA2}" /> <EventID>2</EventID> <Version>0</Version> <Level>2</Level> <Task>2</Task> <Opcode>12</Opcode> <Keywords>0x8000000000000010</Keywords> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2010-07-21T20:13:20.911637700Z" /> <EventRecordID>87</EventRecordID> <Correlation /> <Execution ProcessID="992" ThreadID="4344" /> <Channel>Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-EventTracing/Admin</Channel> <Computer>WS5-Braam3</Computer> <Security UserID="S-1-5-18" /> </System> - <EventData> <Data Name="SessionName">Homegroup Log</Data> <Data Name="FileName" /> <Data Name="ErrorCode">3221225525</Data> <Data Name="LoggingMode">285212677</Data> </EventData> </Event>
