Sound not working in Windows 7
Hello, I am using Windws 7 and it have worked properly for 10 months. Then one day my sound stopped working. It will not play any sound and I have tried to chance the sound card and search for driver on the internet (it's an onboard standard sound card). However when I load a computer game the sound is working perfectly but besides in computer games the sound is not wokring. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi, Please help us clarify some questions: 1. What's the detail model of your motherboard?2. Do you have sound while playing music with WMP? 3. Please let us know which game you have sound while loading it. If the issue just happened recently, you can try system restore to restore your machine before the trouble happened. If the restore point is not available, you can run the diagnostics built into Windows 7 following the instructions below. 1.Click Start, Control Panel.2. In the Control Panel, click System and Security. 3. In the System and Security window, under Action Center, click Troubleshoot common computer problems. 4. In the Troubleshoot computer problems window, click a specific task to automatically diagnose and fix a problem. To view more troubleshooters, click a category. 5. Run the diagnostic. In addition, you can try to download the latest sound driver, and remove the previous driver in the Device manager, then reinstall the new driver.Good luck! John
