Sound muted at startup
The last few times I've started up my computer, the volume has been muted. I didn't pay much attention to it at first, I thought I must have left it muted the first time. The second time I thought my sister had done it (not sure if volume setting is per user or whole computer). Last night, however, I turned on my computer and noticed it muted so I unmuted it. 5 Seconds later I noticed that it was muted again!I'm using RC1 (build 7100 I think) 32-bit. I used to have 64-bit and this didn't happen. No drivers installed except nVidia ones. Only software installed is Xfire, PunkBusterand DX9 so I can play COD5 :)Anyone else have this issue? Any ideas as to what's causing it?

Jive - You can check the status of the device in Device Manager to see if there are any issues with it. You can also check the status of the drivers for the sound card. Now, there IS one troubling thing - you say you've installed DirectX 9... That might be part of the problem. The DirectX 11 that ships with Windows 7 should be fully backwardly compatible with DirectX 9.
