Sound issue
Hi, - I am experiencing problems with Windows live messenger - I can make video calls and receive, but the recipients can't hear me. The mic has been tested as has the computer - could this problem be a broadband issue? - many thanks for any advice

Hi nfield, Please first make sure the microphone works properly. To do this, please try the following suggestions: - See if the microphone works properly with other software such as Sound Recorder - Test if the microphone works on another computer - Use Speech Recognition to test Microphone =========================== 1. Please click Start, type Speech Recognition Options (without quotation marks) and press Enter. 2. Click Set up microphone and follow the Microphone setup wizard. 3. When you reach Adjust the microphone volume, please note if the volume bar moves from yellow to red. Is the Setup wizard complete? If the microphone works properly, we can eliminate hardware problem from the possible causes of the issue. Please check to see if the issue persists in the Third-party software. If the microphone works properly, we can confirm the issue is related to Windows Live Messenger. Please refer to Nikhil's suggestion for direct assistance. Hope this helps. Regards, Linda
