Son's e-mail forwarded to my Outlook by mistake
I just bought a new HP with Windows 8.1.
After adding one other e-mail account to the Outlook program that comes with Windows, I tried to add my Gmail account, as well. Unfortunately, my son's Gmail account was set to "Sign In Automatically," and Outlook forwarded every single one of his e-mails to my account without me having typed in a forwarding address.

Besides the security concern that this could happen, I'm also troubled that I can't figure out how to remove these e-mails. We have already updated the POP3/IMAP settings in his Gmail to discontinue forwarding, but I can't get rid of the 1480 e-mails that were forwarded to me.

Please help!

In order to help you effectively we need to know exactly what email system you are using.  You can see the differences here

If outlook.com in a browser yous should ask here http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook_com

If Microsoft Office Outlook ask here http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office

I don't have office installed, yet, and it's not in the browser.

It's the Mail program that comes default with Windows 8.1. If you hit the Windows key and click on Mail, then the program will open.

The link you sent to me lists this program as "Proprietary Software."

No problem, that's why I gave you the link for the email systems.

For win 8 mail app you should ask either in the same section as the browser http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook_com

Or in the windows section http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows
