Some missing features
Hi, at first: English isn't my mothertounge, I hope I had found in my dictionary sometimes the rightvocabularies. Actual I'm testing the first beta version (7000) of win7. Not really bad but surely a chance to make overdue improvements in windows. A. Now I have read that win7 could get a classic startmen. I hope so. B. Alsosome ideas could be (also for security issues):1. An other design for IE 8 to see that there is the internet and there is the desktop. 2. Thereare too many explanations resp. texts in Computer, Systemsteuerung (sorryI have the german version) for experienced users. 3. Independend screens per program like the Amiga Screens. So I can give a Office-Program f.e. a screen witha lower resoultion than a Grafic-Program. 4. The ribbon-band menues (MS Paint) are very confusing, a menu to changeto classical menus would be good. 5. Where I can disable the virtual folders (Program files -> Programme and so on)? I can't see any sense in these virtual folders. 6. The taskbar should be improved like the old taskbar. 7. An improved Open-Save-File-Requester like Amiga. The actual system requester is too confusing because I can't see the complete path where files are stored and so on. Also the filtering (shows only f.e. doc-files and not the complete content) should be abolished. Also there should be a permanent changing for the view of the requester, f.e. details. It's a security risk to see trashy pictures or something like that instead of file names. 8. The new folders design is without any discussion - it's simply really bad with no productivity.Better would be also a classic view - without "features" like IE's favorits and so on.BTW. Where is the requester to move folders like "Eigene Dateien" to another destinaton? 9. I have seen thatfile extensions are per default disabled -> It's a very high security risk and should be abolished. 10. Invisible regitry entries and files should be abolished. Also the many run levels in the registry itself One or 2 are enough. 11. A log program, like InstallWatch 2.xxof epsilonsquared,to check and controll installations and deinstallations of programs incl. all performed registry entries. 12. Assistants for the users which guide users through the installation and adjustment of win7.F.e. Questions like: Should win7 installed only as a PC with an Internet-Connection without LAN or only as single user or something like that. Together with the following hint: Changings can performed in....Advantage: Only the needed services, windows modules and so on will be installed. 13. An improved internal windows design. One Folder only for network programms, one only for drivers and so on. Also the rebuild of internal dll, exe- pp files as libraries like Amigas OS inclusive an internal checksum check. Simply clearly arranged.F.e. one library contains all GUI-Features, another all requesters and so on. 14. Disabling of all auto-install-Features of win7 and IE8+ without users permission. 15. Also it's a known security risk to install programs in or use predefined folders. It's would be better to create an assistant which offers changings like creating other partitions on the HD (if there is only one Partition there), moving of predefined folders incl. changing their namesto other partitions/HDs. I think it can be said more than these few details. In the actual version win7 isn't worth to buy it and not effective enough for companies.winxp or other Operating Systems would be better. For security reasons (f.e. malware) the further "integration" of windows into the Internet is beyond any discussion.
