Some gadgets require Flash 64-bit version
Some gadgets won't render correctly in Win7 64-bit because they require Flash 64-bit, which is not out yet. Adobe says it's in the works. Pandora's music gadget is one of them that will not work on 64-bit Windows.

Telling it to simply run the 32-bit version instead, as is recommended in your link, will not work for the gadgets that come with Win7 x64, as they're 64-bit - which means, you won't be able to use any of them.You'll sadly have to wait until Adobe gets their act together and releases Flash for x64.
