Slow to establish connection on all browsers on Windows 7
HI, I have been searching everywhere and tried numerous amounts of troubleshooting and am still stumped. I have a Virtual Machine running a fresh install of Windows 7 Enterprise 86bit, 1GB Ram, Intel Xeon CPU . The internet connection is fine, but the browser (tried Firefox, IE8) is slow to establish a connection on ALL new web pages. Once it loads after 10-25sec lag, the speed is fine and browsing fine. I have tried the following: - Removed IPv6 - Allowed only NTLM connections (trying to connect to a webpages on different infrastructures i.e NT4, Windows 2000, Windows 2003, XP) - Turned down internet security to low - Clear cookies, temp internet files, added website as Trusted site - No add ons installed or Anti Virus software, turned OFF windows firewall - Flushed DNS and confirmed DNS is caching entries - I can successfully 'tracert' all websites with no lags - I can ping the DNS and the default gateway - Checked Local Group Policy and nothing as a default seems to be limiting this - I confirmed the website can be reached from the same network at normal speeds from WIndows 2003, XP - Turned of Auto-Turning (turned back on with as it had no effect) - Turned off ECN If anyone has anymore suggestions it would be great. There is no issue once the page loads, but getting the page to load on any new internet window is ridiculously slow. Thanks
