What is slow? Boot, shutdown? How to ask a question: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555375"A programmer is just a tool which converts caffeine into code" CLIP- Stellvertreter http://www.winvistaside.de/

if it take a long to start your pc try this. http://netsquirrel.com/msconfig/msconfig_win7.html if it take a long time to shutdown try this. click start then type in white box regedit then find this "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management}, then change the value of ClearPageFile at Shutdown to a 0. A value of 1 will overwrite the file, which i would actually recommend for security. Also, you must also restart your computer" thank you "king64 " for this tip!!!

also try this! it will eat your battery fast so only do it if you have direct power. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/9090/learning-windows-7-manage-power-settings/ choose "High Performance" you may have to click on "show additional plans " to see high performance option!

Sorry Rain77, this is pure speculation. Make a boot trace: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=140247"A programmer is just a tool which converts caffeine into code" CLIP- Stellvertreter http://www.winvistaside.de/
