Slow RDP between Windows 7 machines
At home I have Windows 7 Enterprise (32-bit) running on a Dell 755 Core 2 Duo E6850 with 4 Gig RAM. I rdp to various machines at work: Server 2003 and 2008, and XP desktop machines. All the rdp sessions are fine - very snappy. Except to my Windows 7 Enterprise desktop (also 32-bit). It is a Dell 760 Core 2 Duo E7300 with 2 Gig of RAM. When the box had XP I could connect and operate as if I was sitting in front of it - even from Windows 7. Now it is worse than dial-up. I have tried the settings that are found around the web relating to auto-tuning, etc with no difference. To be clear the only problem is between two Windows 7 machines. I will put XP back on it so I can work. I like 7 and would stay with it but this is a deal breaker. All the machines are fully patched and up to date. Any ideas? Thanks RC

Try putting both Win7 systems to selective startup or Safe Mode with networking and test again. Issue might be connected to some Third party software.

Hi,
Please click Options in RDP client and switch to the Experience tab and adjust the Performances settings to see how it works.
If the issue persists, please try to disable SNP on your Windows 7 Enterprise desktop by setting Registry as following:
Note: Please perform a full-system backup first.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters]
EnableTCPChimney=dword:00000000
EnableTCPA=dword:00000000
EnableRSS=dword:00000000
If the keys are not there, please create them first.
Hope this helps. Thanks.Nicholas Li - MSFT
