Slow/Sometimes freezes USB file transfer
Hi All of a sudden over the past couple of weeks I've got really slow speeds and would occasionally stop file transfers. This would happen between external hard drives, flash drive and SD cards in the built in reader. Its fine with small files under 20mb does its quick but over that it gets to a point and it just stops sometimes for up to 30mins. OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit Thanks James

Hi, First, I would like to confirm the following questions: 1. When did the issue begin to occur? Have any new programs or hardware installed on the machine? 2. Which kind of file did you want to transfer, document, video or other files? Did the issue occur on each kind of files? To troubleshoot the issue, please unplug the external drive and perform the following steps. 1. Run Check Disk to fix disk errors. 2. Perform a Clean Boot to check the result. 3. Reinstall USB Controllers If the issue persists, please plug the external drive to the back of USB port for a test. Thanks, Novak

It would happen on anything. Video files, image files in folders, a number of folders. Anyway I had performed all above and nothing had fixed it. However all is fine now for some reason. Looks like its fixed itself.
