Skype works fine (the newer version for win7)We have used it since the BETA of 7.... sometimes for Hours at a time.there is no issue there, start looking at your setup.

Hi,Are you using Windows 7 64 bit operation system? If so, try the Skype 3.6.0.248 version. If 32 bit system, install the 4.1 beta in compatible mode.Could you specify the detailed symptom? Will it stop during vedia call or just idle? What is the model of your sound card? The following steps are workaround to people who use HT Omega Striker sound card.1. Disconnect your internet so that skype wont sign in.2. Open windows device manager and disable (not uninstall, just disable it) the HT Omega Striker sound card3. Connect your internet4. Sign on your skype as usual.5. Now go to skype --> tools --> options6. Go to sound effects page (NOT the microphone/speaker page) and MUTE all soundeffects (such as "sign on", "sign off"), make sure you mute all of them.7. Enable your HT Omega Striker 8. Now your skype should work. Microphone and speakers should work well in calls and rings. But you wont have the sound effects when sign-in or someone sending fill and such.In addition, for this compatibility issue, https://developer.skype.com/SkypeGarage/ReportIssue could be the best resource.

There might be conflict with your sound card. Windows does not allow two programs to access sound card at same time. Simply disable skyperecorder to check if skype crash. If not, you may need to switch to another recorder. Also, could you tell us the model of the PC? If there is any webcam installed, search for the file BtwVdpCapFilter1.dll and rename it.
