Skype for Business hangs

HI, Every time I try to make a call in Skype for Business (audio or video) the application hangs and needs to be killed.

I can send a IM message from Skype for business fine, but as soon as I try to make a call, the app just hangs.

The metro app Lync works ok, but there I cant use desktop sharing.

Below is the event log from the crash.

I also have the extended logs from Office in a zip file if that would help getting to the bottom of this.

Can we try the applying this update https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2889923?

Also are there any performance issue on the computing device?

Hi Roland.

Could you run the command: netsh winsock show catalogThen, look for some Layered Service Provider in the output.

We dont have to install Winsock Layered Service Providers (LSP) software. ( https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg398686%28v=ocs.15%29.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396 ) and this kind of behavior is common when we have some LSP.

You must unistall them from Windows Control Panel and test once again with SfB.

Regards.
