Skype for Business becomes crashed when chatting

Hi there,

Two weeks ago, I updated my Win7 OS. The Skye for Business, a component of my Office365 became frozen and finally crashed when chatting. I tried to uninstall/reinstall it but didn't help much. I have no problem to chat by the Skype for Business on my colleague's PC using my Office365 account. In addition, I have no problem to chat with others using the common Skype on my PC. Here's errors information from the Skype for Bunisess when it crashes. Could you please take a look at it?

Thanks in advance,

Carl

I tried to install the update but got a message saying 'There are no products affected by this package installed on this system'. My Skype for business 2015 is 32-bit (15.0.4737.1000). Any more suggestions? Thanks a lot!

Carl,

If you are using any USB headset then remove headset and they try to use Skype for Business for Audio / Video call.

If issue persist then uninstall audio drives and reinstall it again.

Hello Carl,

If you already uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2013 package then try below update for Skype for Business client.

Thanks Balu for your good suggestions! I don't use USB headset. So I tried to uninstall and reinstall the drives but it didn't work, unfortunately.

However, I can make remote live chat now. The Skype for Business will become frozen when I end the chat. I have to restart it manually.

Hi Balu,

It keeps saying that 'There are no products affected by this package installed on this system'. I guess that my Skype for Business is the latest. Thanks a lot for your help, anyway!

By the way, I will ask my administrator to allow me to use the common Skype to chat with colleagues on Skype for Business (https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Let-Skype-for-Business-Online-users-communicate-with-external-Skype-for-Business-or-Skype-contacts-b414873a-0059-4cd5-aea1-e5d0857dbc94).

Regards,

Carl
