Our setting:

Default launch behaviour = Set to Lync GUI (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn951355.aspx )

Client-Policy for Test Users = EnableSkypeUI True

The Client Restarts with the Skype UI, but the Icon in the Taskbar and Start Menu is not replaced. Still the lync icon

Any ideas?

The KB2889923 ( April 14, 2015 update for Lync 2013 (Skype for Business) (KB2889923) - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2889923 ) was released an update that also includes the new Skype for Business client. Microsoft says that also the following updates are required: April 14, 2015 update for Skype for Business (KB2889853) Microsoft Office 2013 Service Pack 1 (KB2817430) and Microsoft Office 2013 Language Pack Service Pack 1 (KB2817427).
